Deal done: Staka Schakelkasten
03-04-2026

Deal done | Aeternus acted as the advisor to OxGreenfield on the sale of Staka Schakelkasten to Addtech

Staka Schakelkasten, portfolio company of investor OxGreenfield and a company with over 70 years of history based in Oosterhout, has been acquired by the Swedish, publicly listed company Addtech with effect from 1 April 2026. With this transaction, Addtech strengthens its position in a market characterised by growing demand driven by the energy transition and increasing electrification.

Staka develops, manufactures and supplies stainless steel switch cabinets and roof hatches and became part of OxGreenfield in November 2022. OxGreenfield focuses on investments in Dutch SME’s with the aim of further professionalising companies, independently of the founder/owner, and preparing them for the next phase of growth. Under OxGreenfield, day-to-day management of Staka was transferred to Marc Hendriks and Richard van Vorstenbosch, with a clear focus on strengthening the company’s market position and developing innovative products to the highest quality standards. The sale to Addtech marks the next step in this development, with continuity and further growth at its core.

For Addtech, the acquisition strengthens its offering within the safety segment, specifically in solutions that contribute to the protection and reliability of critical infrastructure. Market growth, driven by investments in renewable energy, grid expansion and the safety of critical infrastructure, makes this a logical moment for Addtech to expand its position in the Netherlands. Staka brings to the table a strong reputation, customisation capabilities and a continuous focus on innovation.

“We are delighted with this deal. Not only because of the successful trajectory of growth and further professionalisation over recent years, but also because we see Addtech as the right owner to ensure long-term continuity. In every respect, this is an investment that aligns seamlessly with our objectives.”

Hank Schraven, Partner at OxGreenfield

“We are very satisfied with the acquisition. Staka will complement and strengthen our existing business with focus on reliable installation within the business unit System Security. We would like to thank OxGreenfield and Aeternus for a constructive collaboration throughout the process.”

Frank Robertsson, Business Unit Manager System Security at Addtech

Hank Schraven and Anne Jolly Wijma-Schouten of OxGreenfield were advised on this transaction by Geert Smets, Ingmar Schmid, Bas Smelt and Trijntje Schat of Aeternus. Legal support was provided by Ytzen Marseille and Dynah Dettingmeyer of JB Law.

“OxGreenfield aims to place its portfolio companies with a solid owner following a successful period, one who will further shape that success. We are proud to have facilitated Staka’s exit. Staka has become part of Addtech, a Swedish listed group of companies, which, together with the existing management team, will realise the growth ambitions and value creation in this attractive market.”

Geert Smets, Partner at Aeternus

Aeternus wishes both Staka and Addtech every success in realising their shared ambitions.
